2027 TFSA, RRSP and CPP limits

1 of 10 2027 figures published so far. RRSP limit: $35,390. TFSA limit: not yet announced.

The numbers Canadians search for every autumn, in one table, with a clear "announced" or "not yet" on each. Nothing here is estimated: each row reads the CRA and Service Canada pages every day and flips to the real figure the day it is published.

The order the 2027 numbers arrive

Early November: the CRA announces the YMPE and YAMPE for 2027 (and with them the maximum CPP contribution) and fills in the MP, DB and DPSP limits. Mid-to-late November: the indexation factor for 2027 is published, which sets the TFSA dollar limit, the federal tax brackets, the basic personal amount and the OAS clawback threshold for 2026 income (the formula, run on the CPI months published so far, is on our Canada inflation rate page). Late December: Service Canada posts the January to March 2027 OAS amounts and the 2027 CPP maximum. Late autumn: the 2027 payment calendars for CPP, OAS and the CRA benefits. The RRSP dollar limit is the odd one out — it is known a year early because it equals the previous year's money purchase limit.

What to do before January

If you have TFSA room, the new year's limit is added on January 1 and can be contributed that day. RRSP contributions for the 2026 tax year are accepted until March 1, 2027; the RRSP refund calculator shows what a contribution is worth at your marginal rate, and RRSP vs TFSA covers which account to fill first. If you are near the OAS clawback line, the clawback calculator shows how much of a December RRSP contribution or a deferral would save.

Frequently asked questions

What is the TFSA limit for 2027?

The CRA has not announced the 2027 TFSA limit yet. It is normally published in November once the year's indexation factor is set: the limit is indexed to inflation and rounded to the nearest $500, so it either stays at $7,000 or steps up by $500. This page updates automatically the day CRA posts it — we do not guess.

What is the RRSP limit for 2027?

The RRSP dollar limit for 2027 is $35,390, up from $33,810 in 2026. Your own room is 18% of your 2026 earned income up to that cap, plus any unused room, minus pension adjustments. The deadline to contribute for the 2026 tax year is March 1, 2027.

When is the 2027 YMPE announced?

The CRA announces the next year's YMPE and YAMPE in early November, based on average wage growth. The 2026 figures are $74,600 and $85,000. The 2027 numbers will appear in the table above the day they are published.

How much will CPP go up in 2027?

CPP is indexed to the Consumer Price Index each January. Service Canada posts the 2027 maximum in late December or early January; until then the current maximum is $1,507.65 per month (January 2026). The increase applies to pensions already in pay as well as new ones.

When are the 2027 CPP and OAS payment dates released?

Service Canada normally publishes the next year's calendar in late autumn. Our CPP and OAS pages check it daily and add the 2027 dates the moment they appear.

How is this page kept current?

Every figure is read automatically each day from the CRA limits table and Service Canada’s CPP and OAS pages. A row shows "not yet announced" until the government publishes the number; we never fill in projections. The verification date under the table is the last successful read.

Figures are read daily from the Government of Canada pages linked above. Pending rows show no estimate by design. This page is for information only and is not tax or financial advice.
