These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of RetireSmarter.ca ("the site", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Educational use only — not financial advice

Everyone's situation is different. Before making decisions about your money, consult a qualified professional — such as a financial planner, accountant, or tax advisor — who can review your full circumstances.

Calculators are estimates

Our calculators and the retirement planner produce estimates and projections based on the inputs you provide and simplifying assumptions. They cannot predict the future. Real results depend on markets, tax rules, inflation, your behaviour, and many factors no model captures. Tax rules, contribution limits, and benefit figures change over time and may not be fully current. Always verify important figures against official sources (for example, the Canada Revenue Agency and Service Canada).

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. While we work to keep the tools correct and the site running, we don't guarantee either.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RetireSmarter.ca and the people behind it will not be liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its calculators, or its content. You use the site and act on its information at your own risk.

Accounts

Some features let you create an optional account to save your work. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Don't use the site to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems.

Acceptable use

• Don't scrape, overload, or attempt to compromise the site or its infrastructure.
• Don't misrepresent the site's content as professional advice to others.
• Don't reuse our content in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text, and tools are owned by RetireSmarter.ca or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You may use the calculators for your personal planning. You may not copy or republish substantial portions of the site without permission.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites and services for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
